At the invitation of Mr Moin Ahmed, Director General of IMSO, the Executive Secretary of EUTELSAT IGO
Mr Piotr Dmochowski-Lipski participated in the opening ceremony of the 27th meeting of the Assembly of Parties of IMSO held earlier today in London. Among other guest were Ms Heike Deggim, Director of Maritime Safety Division at the International Maritime Organisation, Mr Houlin Zhao, ITU Secretary General, and
Mr Patrick Masambu Director General of ITSO.
On this occasion the Executive Secretary reminded the participants that what unites IMSO and EUTELSAT IGO is their understanding of the importance of public roots and public interest obligations in the satellite telecommunications environment.
The Assembly of Parties elected Mr Laurent Parenté of Vanuatu as Director General of IMSO for a mandate of four years commencing in April 2023.
