The Executive Secretary of EUTELSAT IGO is currently attending the Plenipotentiary Conference of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) held in Bucharest, Romania, from 26 September to 14 October 2022. The event brought together more than 2,000 information and communication technology decision-makers from ITU’s 193 Member States and Sector Members.
The Plenipotentiary Conference, ITU’s highest policy-making body, meets once every four years to set the Union’s general policies, adopt the four-year strategic and financial plans, and elect the senior management team of the organization, the Member States of the Council, and the members of the Radio Regulations Board.
EUTELSAT IGO has the status of International Organisation Operating Satellite Systems in all three sectors of ITU and participates in ITU meetings.
