The Executive Secretary is currently attending the Satellite 2022 show, one of the most important international events dedicated to the satellite industry that brings together all key satellite operators, manufacturers and launchers as well as other significant satellite players of the industry. The Satellite show traditionally takes place in Washington, D.C.
Some of the key debate topics of this year’s conference include inter alia the strategic importance of satellite telecommunications in the war in Ukraine, the interoperability between orbits, platforms and technologies as a key challenge for the future of telecommunications, the notion of Sustainable Space and the risk posed by space debris to further exploration and utilisation of space. The industry unanimously called for more regulation of space activities.
