The Intersputnik International Organization of Space Communications is celebrating today its 50th anniversary of existence. Established under an international agreement on 15 November 1971 in Moscow, Intersputnik currently comprises 26 member-countries, 12 of which are also members of EUTELSAT IGO. Intersputnik is both an international organisation and a satellite operator.
On the occasion of a videoconference dedicated to Intersputnik’s anniversary, the Executive Secretary of EUTELSAT IGO Mr Piotr Dmochowski-Lipski congratulated the Organisation and its Director General Ms Ksenia Drozdova on this important day.
