The first meeting with the newly appointed members of the EUTELSAT Advisory Committee took place today in Paris in the Tower Montparnasse, where the Headquarters of the Organisation is located. The 54th meeting, chaired by Dr Diana Daczi of Hungary, comprised the Parties Bulgaria, France, Hungary, Italy, Liechtenstein, Switzerland and Türkiye together with the observers of the Parties of Moldova and United Kingdom.
The Advisory Committee was informed of the activities of the EUTELSAT IGO Secretariat and of matters pertaining to the observance by Eutelsat S.A. of the Basic Principles. In accordance with its mandate, the Committee reviewed the results for the period July 2022 to June 2023 and noted that the financial statements have also been reviewed by the independent auditors, who have issued an unqualified opinion.
At the invitation of the Executive Secretary, Mr David Bertolotti, Company Secretary of Eutelsat Group, made a presentation on the Eutelsat’s financial year 2022-2023 highlights and outlook, including the recent combination between Eutelsat and OneWeb.
The Advisory Committee expressed its appreciation with the information provided by the Executive Secretary on the ability for the Company to continue to fulfil its obligations to EUTELSAT IGO while welcoming the participation of Eutelsat S.A.’s representatives during this meeting.
